Juventus Step Up Interest In Valencia's Silva Empty Juventus Step Up Interest In Valencia's Silva

With reports suggesting that Nedved will retire at the end of the season, Juve are wasting no time in finding a replacement...

Relentless Juventus appear to have stepped up their interest in Valencia star David Silva.

The attacking left-midfielder has been identified by Juve's top brass as a perfect replacement for veteran Pavel Nedved, and the Los Che man could arrive sooner rather than later.

Nedved will almost certainly retire at the end of the season and someone is needed to come in and do the job properly. There is, perhaps, no-one better equipped than Silva.

Sportmediaset claim that the Bianconeri are ready to try and tempt the Mestalla club with a decent offer in order to procure his services.

It will not be easy, though, as both Real Madrid and Manchester City have shown interest in the Spanish international. Considering this, Juve will need to dig deep in order to lure him to Turin, as Silva will not come on the cheap.

Joaquin has also been mentioned, but he may not be able to fulfill the requirements, as cover is chiefly needed for the left side.
