David Beckham will make his Milan bow against Hamburg later today after being passed fit to play.
There were fears on Monday that Becks' debut would be postponed until the weekend against Roma after an injury scare.
The former Manchester United man suffered a muscular strain in training, but he has recovered over night, and a last minute fitness test has given the all clear.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti is likely to play Beckham from kick off on the right-side of midfield.
The English midfielder needs to gain some minutes in his legs and it will be a good test ahead of the Roma match.As well as this, it will give the coach an opportunity to see where Beckham fits in, and some shuffling around during the game is expected.
A number of players will be missing though. Brazilian ace Kaka is fit to play, but he has asked not to as he wants to be in top condition for the weekend.
Clarence Seedorf has also been left out. Cristian Abbiati has an ankle problem and he will miss the tie.
