Argentina coach Diego Maradona has sent a heartfelt thank you to Inter and coach Jose Mourinho after being impressed by the way he was treated during his visit to the Nerazzurri.
The former Napoli legend was in Milan earlier this week as he checked up on his national team stars who play at the club. Maradona was welcomed by Inter chief Massimo Moratti and he shared a few words with the 'Special One'.
The coach has heaped high praise on both the Italian club and Mourinho.
"We were welcomed very well by [Massimo] Moratti and [Jose] Mourinho," Maradona told Inter's official website.
"Everyone spoke so well to me about Mourinho and it was a big surprise when I met him.
"I think he is an exceptional person, a real hard worker.
"Mourinho welcomed me with open arms and we spoke about tactics and the players he has coached. Now I know what a coach is."
Maradona has just returned to Argentina after his tour of Europe, where he spent most of his time on a whistlestop tour of England, Spain and Italy.
