Veteran defender Christian Panucci could leave AS Roma at the end of the season, with talks over a new contract having failed to make progress.
The 35-year-old Italy international has been with the Giallorossi since the summer of 2001, having previously enjoyed spells with Monaco, Chelsea, Internazionale, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Genoa.
However, Panucci's agent, Fabio Parisi, has warned that an exit from the capital is a possibility.
He told the Italian press: "Clearly we are in negotiations with Roma and trying to find an agreement for a renewal.
"There are some differences between our positions, but not on the duration of the contract.
"A situation like this should have been dealt with three or four months ago and perhaps then it would not have been so complicated.
"I won't say it is necessarily difficult to resolve, but it certainly would've been easier to reach an agreement if the mood had been more relaxed."
