1. FC Köln's chances of bringing Lukas Podolski back to the RheinEnergie Stadium are looking very good indeed, according to Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
The unsettled striker has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market after Bayern Munich decided to put him up for sale, and as far as dealings between clubs are concerned it appears that his former side have a big foot up on the likes of fellow suitors Roma.
"We want a double-figure million amount but I have to say that Cologne keep getting closer," Rumenigge revealed to Munich-based newspaper TZ.
"The whole thing is looking good. I am confident it will be done," he added.
"They still have to offer a bit more. But between the amount they are offering and the amount that we want, there is no longer too big a difference. They are on good path."
The 23-year-old German international has blatantly been playing the courting game with Roma in recent weeks, but that could all be just lip service soon unless the Italian capital club put their money where their mouth is.
