Genoa want Silva on loan, but it's unlikely Milan will allow him to move to Marassi when he arrives in Italy...

Genoa are keen on taking Milan’s Thiago Silva on loan next season as they prepare to strengthen their back line.

The Brazilian youngster will not arrive in Italy until the summer when Milan free up their non-EU player quota. Reports suggest Silva may not even get a game for the Rossoneri next season as Genoa are snooping around.

Tuttomercatoweb claims the Grifoni are keen on taking the stopper to Marassi next season and club president Enrico Preziosi is looking at ways to convince the San Siro club to part-company with their man.

Reports suggest Silva is unlikely to be given instant first team football by Il Diavolo and thus a loan move to gain more experience could be on the cards.

As well as this, Alessandro Nesta’s recovery from injury could also prove vital in the possible transfer.

The former Italian international is likely to keep Silva out of a starting role if he is injury free next term, fueling speculation regarding a Genoa deal.

Tuttomercatoweb haven’t always come out on top with their transfer stories and this one seems like a risky call, particularly given the fact that Silva hasn’t even arrived.
