Speaking at the post match press conference, the keeper said "It is hard to begin the year like this, having won so many games beforehand. We are unhappy about being unable to beat Valencia. We comitted some mistakes and Valencia took advantage of them, but I do not think they were much better than us."
Franco then acknowledged that their lack of points against their direct rivals was worrying, stating "Yes, it is important, but at the end of the day they are only worth three points, like all the other games. Anyway, we can get revenge in the second half of the season."
Finally, he looked to the future, adding "It is very important to keep adding points. We have a good total of points from the first half, and with consistency in the second period, we can achieve our objectives."
