Fiorentina Fans Acquitted Following Threats To Mancini

The four Viola fans who allegedly threatened him were the main reason behind Mancini's decision to leave the club back in 2002 when he was still in his first job as a coach.

After six years of investigation, an Italian court has found four Fiorentina fans not guilty of an act of violence towards Roberto Mancini back in 2002.

According to the accusation, the Tuscan side's former coach was threatened in front of his own house during a run of poor form, and was told in no uncertain terms to leave the club.

Last year on March 22nd, following his hearing, Mancini withdrew his own legal action, but the trial still went on because the accusation of 'private violence' is an offence punishable by the state.

Then today there was the final verdict which acquitted the four Fiorentina fans accused by the currently un-employed coach.

Mancini is hoping that a major job soon becomes vacant in order to be able to return to coach, either in Italy or abroad.
