Napoli’s Blasi Should Not Join Milan – Davide Lippi

The agent of Manuele Blasi, Davide Lippi, has stated that his client should remain with Napoli, as he loves the club.

Napoli’s Manuele Blasi has had a respectable season thus far; however he has become frustrated at times due to his inability to hold down a spot in the first team.

As a result of this, Milan have been strongly linked with the former Juventus player in recent weeks, and the 28-year-old is understandably attracted by a move to the Rossoneri.

Despite this however, his agent Davide Lippi has declared in a recent interview that Blasi should remain at Napoli and not join the Milanese club, where it will be ever harder to hold down a spot in the starting eleven.

“Napoli have had a great season so far, as their first four months have been brilliant and I don’t think that the coach should upset the harmony and balance in the group,” Lippi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Blasi should not move away from Naples, as the club is incredible.

“We should all just reject the rumours linking him to Milan, and move on,” he added.

“My client certainly wants to remain with the Azzurri and in my opinion, this outcome would be beneficial to both the player and to the club.

“Therefore, when the time is right, we are hoping to speak with the club about a contract renewal, to secure his future,” the agent concluded.

Blasi’s Napoli host Catania this weekend at the San Paolo stadium, with play getting underway at 15:00 CET Sunday afternoon.

Marcelo Zalayeta Staying Put - Agent

The Uruguayan player will have to choose where he wants to play at the end of the season, with the Azzurri or with the Old Lady.

Daniel Delgado, agent of Napoli attacker Marcelo Zalayeta, spoke about his client's contract situation and the rumours linking him to a move away from the club during this transfer window.

However Delgado quashed this speculation, saying that Zalayeta has no intention of leaving the club and will remain in Naples to help the team reach the Champions League this season.

"Marcelo is extremely happy to be at Napoli," the player's agent commented to Radio Kiss Kiss. From the first moment in which he arrived, he found a fantastic environment: the club, squad and a marvellous and passionate place.

“Zalayeta has no reason to want to leave Napoli. He has become attached to his South American team-mates, but the city is also unique in Italy.

"He is currently co-owned by Napoli and Juventus and, at the end of the season, I'm convinced that Marcelo will choose the Azzurri to play in the Champions League with; they are a team that is doing very well and one that can aim towards ambitious European targets."

The 30-year-old joined the Partenopei on a co-ownership deal last season and has since played 35 games, scoring 10 games for the team.
